The discovery of seven naturally-mummified cheetahs in northern Saudi Arabia indicates that at least two subspecies of the endangered species once inhabited the region before their extinction, according to findings published in Communications Earth & Environment. This revelation may provide new opportunities for the potential reintroduction of cheetahs to the Arabian Peninsula.
