French lawmakers vote to ban social media use by under-15s

French lawmakers have approved a bill to ban social media use by individuals under 15 years old, with the legislation also prohibiting mobile phone use in high schools, as part of efforts to protect children from excessive screen time, according to The Guardian. This makes France the second country, after Australia, to implement such a ban.
