Supermassive Black Hole Sagittarius A* May Have Once Shone 10,000 Times Brighter Than Today

New research indicates that the x-ray light emitted by the Milky Way’s central black hole, Sagittarius A*, has undergone significant changes over a period of just a few hundred years. It is suggested that Sagittarius A* may have once shone 10,000 times brighter than it does today.
