Inequality Will Make the Next Pandemic Worse

Inequality, characterized by crowded living conditions, frontline occupations, and poverty, exacerbates the spread of pandemics. Poor nutrition and baseline health characteristics also contribute to this issue. If these factors, which were prominent during the COVID-19 pandemic, are not addressed, the most vulnerable populations will likely suffer the most in future crises.
