Spotify announced that it reached 751 million total monthly active users (MAUs) in the fourth quarter of 2025, marking an 11 percent increase from the previous year and up from 713 million MAUs in the third quarter. The quarterly earnings report also indicated a 10 percent year-over-year increase in Premium subscribers, rising from 263 million to 290 million, with Europe accounting for 36 percent and North America for 25 percent of these subscribers. Co-CEO Gustav Söderström stated that Spotify views itself as the R&D department for the music industry, emphasizing the importance of quickly understanding and leveraging new technologies, including AI, to drive growth.
