As of April 1, Google has made it possible for all users in the United States to change their Gmail address. This change comes as Gmail approaches its 22nd anniversary, allowing users to update their email addresses to something more suitable, especially if they have been using an address they regret for many years. Google announced in December that it would gradually roll out this feature to all users, and it is now fully available. To change a Google Account username, users need to navigate to the email settings page. From there, they should click or tap on Personal info, then Email, and finally Google Account email. If the option to change the username is available on their account, users will see a "Change Google Account email" option. This process allows users to modify the part of their email address that comes before the "@" symbol. It is important to note that users can only change their username once every 12 months. If a user decides to change their email address, Gmail will facilitate the transition, ensuring that users do not have to worry about losing contact with others due to the change. This feature aims to provide users with more control over their online identity and improve their email experience.
