A doctoral thesis from Linköping University, Sweden, indicates that individuals with right-leaning political views are more susceptible to believing conspiracy theories compared to those on the left, although this does not extend to other forms of false information. The study also found that people, regardless of their political ideology, tend to accept political claims that align with their existing beliefs.
