A research team at LMU, led by Professor Olivia M. Merkel, has developed a new delivery system for inhalable mRNA vaccines. The study, published in the journal Cell Biomaterials, introduces a hybrid combination of poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) and poly(β-amino esters) (PBAEs) aimed at overcoming biological barriers in the lungs.
