The Walt Disney Company has appointed Argentine filmmaker Daniel Burman as the Head of Original Content for Disney+ Latin America (LATAM). Burman will officially join the company on March 25 and will report directly to Eric Schrier, who is the President of Disney Television Studios and Global Original Television Strategy. This new role places Burman in charge of overseeing the development and production of original content for the Disney+ platform in the Latin American region. Prior to this appointment, Burman was associated with The Mediapro Studio, where he joined through his own production banner, Oficina Burman, in 2017. His experience in the industry and his previous work with The Mediapro Studio are expected to contribute to his new responsibilities at Disney+. The decision to bring Burman on board reflects Disney's strategy to enhance its original content offerings in Latin America, a region that is increasingly important for streaming services. In his new position, Burman will collaborate closely with Martín Iraola, who is the President of Disney+ LATAM. This collaboration is anticipated to strengthen the content strategy for Disney+ in the region, aligning with the company's broader goals for growth and engagement with Latin American audiences. The appointment of Burman is part of Disney's ongoing efforts to expand its footprint in international markets and cater to diverse viewer preferences.
