Hezbollah announced on Saturday that it conducted a series of attacks targeting Israeli towns and military positions along the Lebanon-Israel border. The group reported firing rockets at the northern Israeli town of Kiryat Shmona and launching two waves of attacks on Metula. Additionally, Hezbollah claimed to have targeted the Ein Zeitim base near Safed with missiles and stated that it struck Israeli soldiers in border areas including Odaisseh, Blida, and near the Khiam detention center. In a separate incident earlier in the week, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for a rocket barrage aimed at an Israeli army gathering in Metula, which occurred early on Wednesday. The group stated that this attack was part of a new operation in response to what it described as "criminal aggression against dozens of Lebanese cities and towns and Beirut's southern suburbs." Hezbollah asserted that it targeted sites in northern Israel with dozens of rockets during this operation. Reports from the Times of Israel indicated that two individuals were lightly injured during Hezbollah's rocket barrage. This escalation of hostilities underscores the ongoing tensions between Hezbollah and Israeli forces in the border region. Hezbollah's actions reflect its stated intent to respond to perceived aggressions against Lebanon, further complicating the security situation along the Lebanon-Israel border.
