Lebanon's health ministry reported that Israeli strikes have killed at least 72 people and wounded 437 since the renewed assault began on Monday. The attacks have also displaced over 83,000 individuals, who are now housed in official shelters. The strikes were initiated by Israel following retaliatory actions from Hezbollah, which launched rockets in response to the assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei. The Israeli government approved the attacks on Lebanon on Sunday night, just hours before Hezbollah's first rocket fire. As the conflict escalates, Israeli military operations have expanded into various regions of Lebanon, particularly targeting Hezbollah strongholds. Reports indicate that at least 12 people were killed and 33 wounded in air raids on the town of Nabi Chit in the eastern Bekaa Valley. The Lebanese Health Ministry has confirmed that more than 200 people have died in Lebanon since the conflict began, with approximately 95,000 displaced. In recent days, the Israeli military has issued large-scale evacuation orders for parts of southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut, prompting a mass exodus of civilians from these areas. The situation remains tense as fighting between Hezbollah and Israeli forces continues, with significant casualties reported on both sides.
