Alexa+ launches in the UK

Amazon's next-generation smart assistant, Alexa+, has launched in the UK as part of its Early Access program, following previous rollouts in the US, Canada, and Mexico. Starting March 19, invitations will be sent to "hundreds of thousands" of participants. Alexa is the most popular voice assistant in the UK and features more natural communication, agentic capabilities, contextual awareness, and the ability to remember previous conversations across devices. The UK version of Alexa+ is designed to be "authentically British," understanding local slang and distinguishing regional speech patterns, such as date formats.
