Thousands of young Danes protested on Wednesday against a government plan to cut student allowances, joining a wave of youth strikes across Europe. Under the banner “Enough is Enough,” 11 high school and university student associations marched from Copenhagen’s City Hall Square to parliament to oppose the proposed cuts aimed at reallocating funds for defense spending. The protests, which began in France, have spread to other European countries, with approximately 40,000 students participating in the strikes.
