Frida Kahlo, born on July 6, 1907, was one of 35 girls among 2,000 students at Mexico’s National Preparatory School. At the age of fifteen, she met Alejandro Gómez Arias. Both were passionate and erudite members of the anarchist student group known as Los Cachuchas, recognized for their pointed cloth caps. Kahlo passed away on July 13, 1954.
