Intensified Israeli attacks across Lebanon

On Sunday, heavy Israeli strikes were reported across Lebanon, particularly in Beirut and southern regions, marking one of the most violent days since the onset of Israeli aggression on March 2. The Lebanese health ministry reported that at least 11 people were killed that day, including seven individuals from an air strike on Kfarhata, a village in southern Lebanon, which also claimed the life of a four-year-old child. Additionally, an attack on the Jnah neighborhood in Beirut resulted in four fatalities and 39 injuries. The overall death toll in Lebanon since the beginning of the Israeli attacks has reached 1,461, with 129 of those being children, and more than one million people displaced due to the conflict. Reports indicate that Israeli strikes have targeted various locations, including the Ramlet al-Baida seafront in Beirut, where at least eight people were killed and around 21 others injured. The Israeli military has stated that senior Hezbollah commanders were among those targeted in these strikes. The conflict has intensified, with over 600 people reported killed and approximately 800,000 displaced in Lebanon, according to various sources. The Israeli military has warned of further escalation, indicating intentions to target bridges across the Litani River, which they claim are used by Hezbollah. The Zrarieh Bridge was previously struck, described by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz as a key crossing for terrorists, although no evidence was provided to support this assertion. Targeting civilian infrastructure is generally prohibited under international law, with limited exceptions for military use. As the situation continues to develop, the humanitarian impact remains severe, with a significant number of casualties and widespread displacement reported across Lebanon. The ongoing conflict has raised concerns about the safety of civilians and the legality of military actions taken by both sides.
