Shahrbanoo Sadat and Jelena Maksimović Hit Back at Discrimination in Film Funding at Tokyo Festival Talk

At a Tokyo International Film Festival talk on the future of women’s cinema, Afghan director Shahrbanoo Sadat highlighted that a lack of funding and ignorance in funding institutions disadvantages women in the film industry. She stated that discrimination begins at the development level, not at the festival.
