How things went ‘downhill’ for Vietnam’s once-booming cryptocurrency traders

Hoang Le, a first-year computer science student in Hanoi, began trading cryptocurrency from his university dorm room, influenced by friends who were successful. His digital holdings once reached US$200,000, but they subsequently crashed to zero as the value of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies plummeted in recent months. He expressed that losing everything "hurt a lot" but acknowledged he learned a valuable lesson.
