Jacob Lawrence created the Migration Series (Panel 52) using casein tempera on hardboard. In Spring 1968, the speaker, who was not black, taught a course at Pratt Institute where all their students were black. Jacob Lawrence, a famous artist and teacher, was teaching a course down the hall.
