A film adaptation of Metal Gear Solid is being revived by directors Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, known for Final Destination: Bloodlines, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. The project is under Columbia Pictures as part of a new first-look deal with Sony. Lipovsky and Stein expressed their excitement about adapting Hideo Kojima's characters and world, calling Metal Gear Solid a groundbreaking cinematic masterpiece. The directors have other projects in development, including a sequel to Gremlins and an animated Venom movie.
