A report by the National Audit of Eating Disorders reveals that adults in England with eating disorders wait up to 700 days for treatment, which is significantly longer than the wait times for children. The audit indicates that adults wait on average twice as long for assessment and more than ten times longer for treatment compared to their younger counterparts.
