Lebanese Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine announced that at least 46 rescuers and five medical staff have been killed by Israeli strikes since March 2. He stated in a press conference that the total number of fatalities in the health sector has reached 51, which includes 46 paramedics and five health workers. Among the recent casualties, nine medics were killed on a Saturday in southern Lebanon, comprising four from Hezbollah's Islamic Health Committee and five from the Amal movement's Risala Scouts. These individuals were reportedly targeted while conducting rescue missions, and the targeting of health and emergency workers is classified as a war crime. Since the onset of Israeli attacks on March 2, Lebanon's health ministry has reported that at least 486 people have been killed and 1,313 wounded. Al Jazeera noted that Israeli airstrikes have targeted various locations in southern Lebanon, including the towns of Burj Rahal, Srifa, Arab Salim, Barghaz, and Majdal Selm. Additionally, projectiles have been launched from southern Lebanon towards Israel, indicating ongoing hostilities. As the conflict continues, many residents in Lebanon are facing difficulties relocating to safer areas due to skyrocketing rents and the inability to afford moving costs. Hundreds of thousands have been displaced as Israeli strikes intensify, particularly in the second week of the conflict. The situation remains dire for those affected by the ongoing violence and instability in the region.
