Jaguar has unveiled the interior of its new all-electric Type 01 EV, which has sparked controversy due to its unique design elements. The interior features a very beige color scheme and is characterized by a "central spine" that runs the length of the cabin, dividing the four individual seats. This design choice has drawn mixed reactions from observers, as it deviates from traditional automotive layouts. The driver's seat is positioned low-slung, and the dashboard is designed to be slim, incorporating a smartphone-style display at the center. Notably, the Type 01 does not include a conventional rear-view mirror. Instead, Jaguar has introduced a "ClearSight Rear View Display" located at the bottom of the windshield. This display is positioned at the same height as the door mirrors, which Jaguar claims helps the driver maintain focus while driving. In addition to these features, the interior includes "concealed compartments" and "hidden‑until‑needed technologies," which are designed to enhance the user experience. These elements contribute to the overall innovative approach Jaguar is taking with the Type 01, aiming to blend advanced technology with a distinctive aesthetic. The combination of these features makes the Type 01's interior a significant talking point in the automotive community.
