LG has announced its Micro RGB evo, the company's first RGB TV, which is available for pre-order starting at $5,000. This new display technology builds on LG's Mini LED advancements and features a Micro RGB panel powered by the Alpha A11 AI processor, which operates the webOS software and the "Micro RGB Engine" for controlling individual LEDs. The Micro RGB evo offers full gamut coverage across DCI-P3, BT.2020, and Adobe RGB, along with enhanced contrast and refined detail from over a thousand dimming zones. While it aims to provide better color representation than OLED, LG's OLED TVs still retain advantages in contrast and dimming.
