Malaysia's Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Arthur Joseph Kurup has called for the return of three elephants sent to Osaka, Japan, from Zoo Taiping and Night Safari. Concerns have been raised about Japan's climate being unsuitable for the elephants, and one of them, named Kelat, has suffered an injury. Last Friday, protesters gathered outside the ministry to urge the government to bring the elephants back, citing welfare concerns.
