Four sisters from LA’s Watts nurture families from the same blocks: ‘They stand in the gap’

Four sisters from LA’s Watts, known as the Sisters of Watts, have been serving families in their community for a decade. They provide food, fitness, financial assistance, and after-school programs. Recently, over 100 families gathered at Ted Watkins park for an event featuring food, activities, and music. The sisters organized food giveaways and offered bags of fresh produce to attendees.
