Hungary's parliament approves Orbán-critic and former judge András Baka as president

Hungary's parliament has approved András Baka, a critic of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and a former judge, as president. Baka previously held a brief position as a lawmaker, elected from the conservative Hungarian Democratic Forum's party list in 1990, but did not hold any other political positions after the democratic transition.
