The collapse of film and TV production in California over the last three years has resulted in a loss of approximately 51,000 jobs, primarily in Los Angeles. This decline is comparable to the reduction in L.A.’s aerospace workforce in the early 1990s. Candidates for California governor are beginning to propose plans to revive the industry.
