Researchers at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Intelligence have found that zebra finches exhibit different communication patterns when interacting with familiar individuals compared to strangers. This study reveals that social context affects the activity of neurons involved in vocal communication. The findings have been published in PLOS Computational Biology.
