A Hong Kong appellate court will announce its verdict on February 23 regarding the appeals of 12 activists convicted of conspiring to subvert state power during an unofficial election. Eleven of the convicted activists have appealed their convictions and sentences related to a scheme from the 2020 Legislative Council election. The court will also rule on an acquitted defendant from the city's largest national security trial.
