Amnesty International has reported that India sent at least 2,596 arms shipments to Israel during what it describes as genocide in Gaza. The report, released on July 29, 2026, details that these shipments included hundreds of thousands of arms, ammunition, and military components. Specifically, the consignments comprised 564,970 parts of explosive ordnance, which included drone warheads and artillery shell casings, along with 390,516 small arms parts for military-grade weapons and 298 components for military vehicles. These items were shipped to large Israeli companies that supplied the Israeli armed forces. The findings from Amnesty indicate that India has failed to adequately regulate the export of arms to Israel, particularly from several private munition manufacturers. This lack of regulation raises concerns about India's complicity in the ongoing conflict and alleged war crimes in Gaza. The report emphasizes that India's arms sales to Israel continue despite the genocide being broadcast worldwide on a daily basis. Amnesty International has noted that its methodology is conservative, implying that the actual extent of India's arms contributions to Israel may be even greater than reported. The implications of these findings highlight significant ethical and legal questions regarding India's role in the conflict and its support for the Israeli military during a period of intense violence in Gaza. The rights group asserts that India's actions risk complicity in the ongoing genocide in Gaza, as it continues to support the Israeli military amid widespread reports of violence and human rights violations.
